20/20 Receives a $175,000 Phase I STTR Award from the National Cancer Institute to Further Develop a Clinical Diagnostic Tool for Early Stage Lung Cancer (ROCKVILLE)  – 20/20 GeneSystems, Inc. received $177,278 from the National Cancer Institute through their STTR program to further develop a test for auto-antibody profiling of non-small cell lung cancer. This work will be conducted in collaboration with Dr. Edward Hirschowitz of the University of Kentucky, Division of Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine. The teams are seeking to develop a diagnostic that would help identify lung cancer in smokers, former smokers and other at-risk individuals at its earliest, most effectively treatable stages. The results of work completed to date ere published in this month’s Journal of Thoracic Oncology.
