20/20 Receives a $99,378 Phase I SBIR Award to Develop a Clinical Diagnostic Tool for Profiling Patients with Head and Neck Squamous Cell Carcinoma from the National Cancer Institute (ROCKVILLE)– 20/20 GeneSystems, Inc. received $99,378 from the National Cancer Institute through their SBIR program to develop a clinical diagnostic tool for profiling the EGFR signaling pathway in tumors from patients with oral cancer. The diagnostic tool would be used to predict the subset of patients most likely to respond to targeted EGFR inhibitor therapies based on tumor profiles. Therefore, the efficacy of these targeted therapies in oral cancer patients could be greatly increased.
