Protein Arrays Utilizing Lung Antibodies
 (PAULAs) test™

20/20 is developing what we believe will be the first blood test for the early detection of lung cancer. The autoantibody biomarkers exclusively licensed to us from the University of Kentucky are the first to have been shown to identify early lung cancer several years earlier than with CT scanning. Protein arrays utilizing lung anitbodies (PAULAs) test measures the levels of multiple antibodies generated by the body’s immune system in response to very early stage non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). To date studies have found that the presence and amounts of these antibodies in the blood predicted NSCLC with about 85% accuracy. Based on these studies (using blood taken from patients several years before their tumors were picked up using CT scans), it appears that this test can detect lung cancer 3-5 years before current radiographic screening methods. Validation studies are underway. PAULAs Test is named in memory of Paula Shore
